Google Has No Idea Where I Am

Today, I fired up my browser and went to Google.com but it redirected me to Google.com.pk instead of Google.ae.

Due to the severed network cables off the shore of Egypt last week, the ISPs in Asia and the Middle East have had to re-route traffic so Google thinks I'm in Pakistan when I'm actually in the United Arab Emirates.

Notice the "http://www.google.co.pk" in the address bar (which Google Chrome calls the 'Smart bar'), the "pages from Pakistan" radio button, and the "Google.co.pk offered in Urdu (اردو)" language setting.
